FREE THINGS TO DO IN BALI

Now that the gates of Bali have (finally) opened up, I thought that I would talk about some free activities you can do during your stay. Bali is undoubtedly heaven on earth but planning a wholesome trip to this picturesque place may require a hefty budget. Even though Bali is very affordable, this factor makes it quite a favorite among popular sites around the world. We have added some prominent attractions and some not very common yet free and fun activities in this blog.

Let’s take a quick look at them.

Visit the Beaches and Malls

Bali has some of the most world-class beaches that require no introduction. Most of the beaches are easily accessible and public. Some famous beaches include Nusa Dua, Kuta, Sanur, and Tuban. Enjoy free leisure walks on these beaches, and don’t miss out on the sunsets and sunrise. Each of these beaches offers something unique. Another way to enjoy your stay in Bali is visiting the malls for the best local and intentional stuff. You can buy beautiful souvenirs for yourself and your friends.

Enjoy Free Surfing

Beaches are much more than sunsets and sunrises. There are more ways to enjoy the lovely waves, and surfing and snorkeling top the list. You will find numerous newbies and pros surfing around. Some beaches also offer free snorkeling so that you can enjoy exceptionally colorful coral gardens under the clear blue water.

Hike Up the Mountains

If you are an adventurous soul, hiking is the best way to explore the surroundings. Mount Agung and Batu Karu are the highest peaks on the island. You will have to acquire the permit from the local village authorities, and that’s all. Hike your way to the top of the mountain for a serene and picture-perfect view of Bali Island. Don’t miss out on exciting surroundings as you move to the top.

The Campuhan ridge is one of the most popular attractions of Ubud. The Campuhan walk is relatively easy and free, of course.

Enjoy Local Traditions

The season or time of the year doesn’t matter when it comes to Bali’s exceptional local tradition display. You can always witness something special going on in the streets. You can enjoy these festive occasions and mingle with the locals.

Visit the Communal Halls

Each Balinese village has a sub-village community hall where they perform traditional dances, art, and orchestra. Compared to dance shows, these shows are free, and you can sit and watch without any cost.
