52 Day Blog Challenge! | Day 13: My Favorite Month

Hi everyone! For those of you who are interested in knowing what the challenge is and why I’m doing it, click here to read about it! Basically, Im doing a challenge for you to get to know me and for me to have some personal topics to talk about.

Day 13: My favorite month. The answer to this is …All months! I can’t decide. I really tried to think of a specific answer but I couldn’t choose. I appreciate every single month for different reasons. I’m a live in the moment type of girl.

I enjoy the cold months when I want to get all cozy, drink warm drinks, eat sweets and desserts, wear really soft and warm pajamas.

I enjoy the hotter months to go tanning in my bikini, drinking pineapple juice or coconut water near the pool or beach.

I enjoy spring for the beautiful plants blooming,

and the fall for all the scents of cinnamon, spices and the joy in pumpkin carving.

Each month has a significant value to me for their own reasons. They all come with their advantages and disadvantages, but I appreciate them all the same.

Manifesting Independence

Hi guys! If you didn’t see before, I’m making one to two posts each month that talk about what I want to manifest into my life. I’m doing this because I do believe that if you speak something into existence, it will find it’s way to you. You can read more about why I’m doing this here.

For this specific Manifestation post, I’m attracting Independence into my life.

I’m doing everything solo within the next year. This will be in every aspect. I’m going to be self employed and not reliant on any manager or anyone higher than me for my money. I won’t ever rely on another person for money, food, transportation, or housing. I will be content in my own company.

I’m manifesting my own home into the near future. It’s going to be a big responsibility, but I’m ready to take it on. I’m ready to pay all of my bills and furnishing expenses. I’m ready to have somewhere to call my own, and decorate it the way I want it.

I’m manifesting a drastic increase of income, even if it requires working nonstop. This will open many doors for an independent lifestyle in the future. My agenda will be completely packed from scheduling meetings and calls to developing my personal brand. I will be taking frequent solo travels to create content.

Most importantly, I will develop the mentality that I don’t need another human by my side to feel content with my life. This is the biggest challenge for me right now, but that mentality will cease to exist in the near future. I provide very positive and fun energy naturally and I’m learning to genuinely enjoy my own presence.

Try out my Manifesting packet where we asses your goals, dive deep into why they matter to you, and develop a vision to help motivate you into reaching them.

The Simple Path to Wealth: Your Road Map to Financial Independence and a Rich, Free Life

Gaining Financial Security, The Way To Financial Independence

Okay, This is incredibly delayed. If you follow me on social media, you’re probably thinking “Megan, that was months ago…” Yes, I dyed my hair in late April. It took me a while to actually talking about it, but hey. I’m going to anyways!

My hair was a really light brown. I was trying to bleach it in more natural, in a more gentle way, such as using lemon water masks and brushing it occasionally with hydrogen peroxide. It actually changed over time a lot from how it looked in the beginning. My goal was to get it to a honey brown type of look, kind of like Jessica Alba. *God, she’s so beautiful…*

So it lightened quite a bit, but the process was taking forever. I’ve always had blonde in the back of my mind, and people were constantly telling me that I would look great as a blonde. I had a blonde wig that made me feel confident and girly. I loved that feeling, but I knew that bleaching your hair comes with its disadvantages such as, oh you know- completely frying it. Especially for someone with dark hair.

Several nights Natalie (my bestie) would joke around with me saying “Dye your hair blonde!” “Go blonde!” and I would always respond “I can’t, it’s going to kill my hair!”. Deep down I really wanted to, but I knew the consequences.

Over the next few days after consideration, I developed that “screw it” mentality. I ended up telling her that I wanted to go blonde! She was ready before I could even finish my sentence. (Just kidding, she was really eager to work on my hair though.) She already had everything needed to bleach it. Natalie is amazing when it comes to dying hair. She’s really careful and precise. I love that about her. I keep telling her to turn it into a career or side hustle, but she isn’t quite confident in herself like I am. One day she’ll see!

Since my hair was a bit light at the top from my natural brunette roots, and darker at the bottom from the fading black hair dye, it looked a little crazy. She explained that she was gonna have to bleach the bottom, then come for the top afterwards, then back to the bottom. Basically, the bottom needed a lot more attention.

The powder she used was the Color Charm Powder by Wella and the developer was by Salon Care (I’ve always loved this developer). She used a 30 Volume developer for my hair.

It took about two bleaching sessions, and it was finally light enough to be considered blonde. By the time it was done, my hair felt dead, but mostly from the bottom! Definitely not as bad as I expected. I really liked how it was looking. It was a bit brassy with the bleach alone, and Natalie was really worried about the brassiness. We slept on it, and let my hair relax for a bit.

The next day, she applied the actual blonde hair dye, in hopes that the brassiness would kind of fade out. That’s exactly what happened! It looked amazing. The brand we used was Revlon Colorsilk. This has always been my go-to box hair dye in the past.

I never really noticed how quickly my hair grows until now. It’s been a few weeks since I’ve last bleached it, and my dark roots are coming out again. One of the cons of being a blondie is that it’s gonna take a lot of maintaining.

Regardless, My blonde hair has given me such a softer and girly look. I feel like it’s a big change that really needed to happen. I’ve always wanted to go blonde, but never had the courage before! I used to care too much about how healthy my hair was, but that just led me to never being able to feel cute. I would avoid heat, but feel insecure all the time because my hair was never done. I’m glad I decided to not care so much. I feel so pretty every day!

Random Inspiration (Personal Update) | Travel With Virona

Hey everyone! This post is completely random, but I just wanted to share a quick update on how I’ve been feeling lately.

I started working nearly full time at a plant nursery, and I have to say- being full time is NO JOKE! Thankfully, I’m surrounded by nature the entire day and the job isn’t too hard. Every time I tell people about my new job, they say “Oh my goodness Megan! That’s a perfect job for you!” And it really is. You should see how my eyes light up when talking to people about gardening! I’ve met a few people about my age that really love tropical plants as much as I do and it’s awesome exchanging tips and advice to each other. I do a bit of work though, causing my body to feel really exhausted after those long shifts. Aside from the nursery, I still work at the mall selling clothes. This is only about once or twice a week though. So basically, my schedule is packed with work. It’s been a struggle to balance work with hobbies, but I’ve been finding the time to write and create for you guys.

My intentions with this post were to share the incredible inspiration I’ve been feeling aside from the exhaustion of saving money.

At the nursery, I get many customers who buy a ton of tropical plants. One of my customers mentioned how he finally customized his backyard to finally match a tropical environment here in Las Vegas which is AMAZING, because that’s exactly what I want to do in the future. We were sharing inspiration back and forth and it felt great. He was telling me how proud he is that he started growing bananas and citrus fruits. He told me how green it is, and I asked him if he could show me a picture of it next time he comes in!

Another customer, an elder woman from Guam talked to me about the environment on the beautiful island. She was buying a bunch of awesome tropical plants. She mentioned that those plants were so common in Guam, they’re considered to be weeds back home. I let her know that it’s good for her to invest in these plants to remind her of where she’s from, and recreate that kind of environment here in Las Vegas.

I think that the nursery has opened so many doors for inspiration for me. Despite the long hours and hard work, I love it. I can’t complain. The only thing I don’t like about it is the early shifts and having no time for my personal projects.

I’ve started a funding for travel and home expenses, as you may know that those are my two biggest goals for this year.

I’m not sure if any of you get this feeling, but sometimes I feel huge waves of positivity while working, urging me to travel. It’s a weird sense that is hard to explain. Sometimes my mind tells me “You’re going to be traveling and on vacation in the very near future” and I just go with it.

Right now, my brain is giving off Hawaii vibes. I sound almost crazy for this feeling that I get, but maybe it’s my soul foreshadowing the near future or pushing me to go where I want. It’s almost like a feeling in the air… If you’ve ever felt this way, please let me know so I’m reassured that I’m not just losing it! LOL. The little vision I get is: me doing hard labor work, not in a plant store in LV, but on the big island picking fruit and disposing weeds. I’m eating a barbecued meal after a long day, watching the sunset and feeling the ocean breeze. I’ve always been so grateful for my vivid imagination. This feeling is giving me huge inspiration and keeping my life goals clear in mind. One thing that I was worried about when taking on two jobs was the lack of motivation to keep moving forward with my personal goals & dreams. Being around things that I truly enjoy only push me to do better!

As for my personal money making methods, I’ve been working extra hard pushing my digital downloads and podcast out into the world. Aside from my digital and online things, I will be selling physical products very soon. My close friend Jenie has inspired me to get into sewing again, and I have an awesome idea of something I want to start creating for you! (This will be revealed in the near future)

I’m looking into good sewing machines and I’m set on the idea of buying a baby pink colored one – So if you have any certain brands in mind, definitely let me know!

That’s about it for this update. I just want to address that I’ve been healthy, safe, and full of inspiration! Hope you all are doing amazing!

52 Day Blog Challenge! | Day 11: Music Of My Heart

Hi everyone! For those of you who are interested in knowing what the challenge is and why I’m doing it, click here to read about it! Basically, Im doing a challenge for you to get to know me and for me to have some personal topics to talk about.

Day 11: Music Of My Heart. I’m assuming that this prompt is asking what music speaks to me personally, music that touches my heart.

My music taste is very diverse. I like Metal, Hardcore/Post Hardcore, R&B and Soul, 80’s, 90’s Rock. I pretty much like everything except Country. (SORRY!) I’m also really into traditional instrumental music. Specifically Japanese, Indian, Spanish, Italian, and African Tribal Music. You can say it’s a big variety, but all of these genres share one really similar trait. They have a lot of heart and soul put into it. There are artists who don’t try much when it comes to the heart behind the music, and focus more on the sound. I’m personally not into that. I want to feel something strong in the lyricism and voices. If an artist can capture a strong feeling without either, that is truly inspiring to me!

I’ve realized over the years that I really like female artists with soft, sweet, angelic voices. An example of artists that I like with voices like this are Tinashe, Alina Baraz, Lolo Zoua├», Florence Welch from Florence & The Machine, and more.

I like Metal, Hardcore/Post Hardcore and Rock in general for the emotion. I always feel pumped when listening. I have endless favorite bands, but I’m just gonna go back to my roots and list the bands that have inspired me to be the person I am today. Linkin Park was my first real band experience, along with Rise Against, Three Days Grace, Silverstein, and Senses Fail. Later on, I was introduced to screaming with Underoath and The Devil Wears Prada. Fast forward to today after being introduced thousands of the greatest artists in the alternative scene, I’m really into Dance Gavin Dance for their upbeat sound and creative lyrics.

It’s gonna sound totally lame of me, but I’m also super into movie and TV show soundtracks. If I really like a show or movie, I’ll listen for the nostalgia. I really like Hans Zimmer (Batman and Pirates Of The Caribbean Soundtrack is awesome!) Along with a bunch of Anime soundtracks.

I like music that has you thinking. Really poetic music and makes you read in between the lines. Music that you have to put together. I love music that expresses pain. I love the idea of pain being put into art.

I’m the type of person to cling to one sound at a time. If I’m into one artist, I’ll be into them for months at a time, diving fully in. Eventually, I’ll hop onto another artist and they will be my number one. It’s weird because I can’t put my playlist on shuffle and be satisfied. Am I the only one who feels this way?

That’s pretty much it for the music that touches my heart. It’s such an overwhelming topic for me because there’s so much to talk about when it comes to my music interests. This post was kind of everywhere, but it’s a personal one so I don’t really expect to be organized about it!

Why Do I Enjoy Travel So Much? | Travel With Virona

Hey guys! Just a quick post today. The other day I got a question from one of my lovely followers on Instagram. The person asked me “What is it about traveling makes you keep going back?”. This got me to thinking wondering myself. Why do I enjoy traveling so much? So I did some brainstorming, and I thought I’d share the answer here as well.

I think I just came to a realization that I like traveling because it makes me feel in control over something. It makes me feel at home in a way. I get to choose where I want to stay, what I want to do, and what kind of environment I’m going to be living in. I’m always changing my preferences, so if one month I have a craving for a cold refreshing coconut milk on the beach while tanning, I can go. If a few months later I want to lodge in a warm, cozy cabin covered in snow, I can go. Nothing is final. I feel lack of motivation, energy, and control all together if my environment isn’t ideal.

Another reason that I love traveling is because I fee like I grow mentally after every trip. When heading home, I’m always reevaluating the routines and lifestyle that I’ve adapted to. I have a strong evolving mentality after my vacations. Aside from a change in my mentality, I feel like I get sparks of inspiration. I get a whole bunch of ideas coming at me. I’ll find myself in the airplane, on my way back home with my notes app opened on my phone, constantly writing the ideas down. I really do grow after every time I travel.

Above all other reasons, I think number one is that I appreciate the world so much. I appreciate how big & beautiful it is. I love nature. I’ve never been comfortable with the idea of being a human blessed with a limited amount of time on this earth, and not using it to explore and embrace what it has to offer.

52 Day Blog Challenge | Day 10: Oh, To Win A Million Dollars

Hi everyone! For those of you who are interested in knowing what the challenge is and why I’m doing it, click here to read about it! Basically, Im doing a challenge for you to get to know me and for me to have some personal topics to talk about.

Day 10: Oh, To Win A Million Dollars… What would I do with a million dollars? Here is a list of some things that I would invest in after receiving that money.

Everyone who has ever supported me and my dreams, I want to be there to support theirs. I want to fully invest in what they want to do in life. It’d be nice to put some money into a home for my brothers. I’d also provide a more comfortable financial situation for the people I care about, giving them money for their future bills and training to make several streams of income for their future.

This is the main mentality I want to have with a big chunk of cash. I never want to think “Okay, I have a decent amount of money. I’m good to relax now.” That mentality has never felt like the right one for me. I always try to see money as a tool and opportunity, rather than just a living resource. I want to make more money. I will do so by investing in stocks, properties, and creating online resources for people to purchase. I love the idea of buying and flipping houses, so I’d probably do that along with renting them out for Airbnb. I like the idea of giving people a really peaceful place to stay while traveling.

I want to get my voice out there. If I had the right amount of money, which in this case would definitely be accurate – I would publish a few books on self development and personal growth. I’d also create online classes for this topic. I would create worksheets for people to use to organize their lives (Which I’m already starting to make right now!). I love teaching. I would love to know that others are learning to get their lives together and creating a better version of themselves with my help.

I would also use this money to work on my personal brand. I really want to get my name out there – into the world. I would hire a team to help me organize a really stable and consistent name for myself. I would like for my website to look very organized, get a mailing list setup and a more professional appearance altogether.

Of course I would need to save this money! I’m actually super okay with the idea of this money going into a savings. I want to give my future family the best life that I can offer them. I want my children to have an amazing, action filled life. I want them to be able to travel, go to school if they want, and not be under stress of money as long as they’re under my roof. I also want to treat my significant other to a luxurious lifestyle when we’re retiring with minimum stress.

Lastly, I would contribute to my personal goals. My two biggest goals in life are to travel the world and to have a house that truly feels like home. I do not want to spend my one million dollars completely satisfying these life goals, because it won’t feel good knowing that I didn’t work hard for them! Does anyone else understand that feeling? Maybe it’s just me. I won’t fulfill these goals completely, but I will put some money into achieving them quicker.

Speaking of personal goals, I just want to share something I’ve been working on to stay in check with my personal goals that could maybe help you organize yours as well. I recently created this seven page goals packet to download on Etsy. It helps you dive deep into what your goals are and how you can achieve them. On the last page, I include words of motivation to keep focused and driven to stay on track. If you want to check it out, I’ve attached a link that you can click on!

Secrets of Six-Figure Women

Millionaire Mindset

If you know me, you know that my dream is to travel the world and make income from doing so. There are endless opportunities to make money in this day and age! It’s all about figuring out what exactly you want to do. I’m excited to make money while I’m traveling, and I’ve been working on this goal every single day in order for that dream to work out. Here’s a little list of ways I plan on making money while I’m exploring the world.

I think that one of my primarily sources of income will be creating a course or class for my friends and following to join. I have several ideas on courses that I want to put out, because there’s so much information I want to share! I’ll dedicate months and months into creating this course, advertising it, then hopefully I’ll have it all set up and ready to go. I want to create beautiful visuals that appeal my students, making them excited to get up and learn. I want to help people improve their lives drastically.

I love the idea of creating worksheets or self improvement projects for people. I want to create Ebooks. I want to create templates available to purchase and print out. For example, I’ll create a template or guide on budgeting and saving money. If they purchase, download, and print this worksheet, it gives them an opportunity to grow. I love that idea! Aside from worksheets, I’d like to create lock screen backgrounds, wallpapers, and a lot of digital art using my own photography. Right now, I have a 2020 Wallpaper Background for your phone, for sale on my Etsy. It’s a picture that I’ve taken in Hawaii, and customizable to your specific goals. It pretty much keeps you in check with your goals. I’ve had this background since January and I still use it as reference when trying to reach my goals. I hope to create a lot more like that in the future!

I really hope to get good enough with my photography and videography to where hotels, Airbnb’s, restaurants, etc will be open to the idea of hiring me to create beautiful imagery for their company. I love photography. I love recording and capturing a beautiful moment! Maybe one day that passion will make me something.

I’m hoping to make some sort of income from my website! I’ll link Amazon products every so often. I will get money from my lovely readers clicking the links I attach to the posts. You’ll probably start seeing it more frequently in the future! Not only will I gain income from Affiliate Marketing, but running Ads and Sponsorships on my Self Development Podcast.

As of right now, I’m not really into this, just because I’m focusing more on quality content. I haven’t really gotten any brands that actually want to pay me for my hard work. It’s usually just free offers. Don’t get me wrong, I love influencing! It really is hard work though. I’d totally be down to in the future! (That’s why its on this list!) I tell people this all the time- At the end of the day, free sunglasses won’t pay my bills. If a legitimate company ever comes my way with a good paid sponsorship that matches my niche, I’d love to do that to support my travels.

This comes in last place because I hate the idea of donations! They are genuinely appreciated though. I don’t exactly rely on this to “make me income” when I’m away, but donations help keep things up and running for me if that makes sense. I currently have a Patreon account, where I provide love letters, postcards from my travels, and photography sent to your house. Being able to provide something to people who believe in me and support me makes me feel a lot better. It also makes us feel like we’re traveling the world together!

52 Day Blog Challenge! | Day 9: My Biggest Pet Peeve

Hi everyone! For those of you who are interested in knowing what the challenge is and why I’m doing it, click here to read about it! Basically, Im doing a challenge for you to get to know me and for me to have some personal topics to talk about.

I think that my number one biggest pet peeve is when people lie to me! I’m a pretty understanding and open minded person.

Another one is when people doubt me! This has a lot to do with how I feel about myself, because I doubt myself very often too even when I know that I’m right. I don’t like being tested!

Something that I absolutely can not stand is being barefoot. I can’t walk around a house unless I’m wearing slides or socks. I hate the thought of having dirty feet.

I also get irritated seeing people not clean up after themselves. I think that everyone should put in their part naturally when it comes to cleaning their own mess.

There are definitely way more pet peeves or things that irritate me, but I don’t really wanna list a ton of negative things. I usually just try to move forward, in a more positive direction if something is ever bothering me.

52 Day Blog Challenge | Day 8: An Unforgettable Day In My Life

Hi everyone! For those of you who are interested in knowing what the challenge is and why I’m doing it, click here to read about it! Basically, Im doing a challenge for you to get to know me and for me to have some personal topics to talk about.

Day 8: An Unforgettable Day In My Life. I have a few of these, but I think I’ll mention the time I took a vacation to California with my dad. It was my first time traveling to Northern California. Our mission was Chico, CA but we wanted to stop through San Francisco before arriving. The whole road trip was awesome. I feel like my dad and I never really had father daughter bonding time, and this gave us that. We have really similar passions such as photography and travel, so it was awesome that we got to bring our cameras and snap some great pictures while sharing the passion with each other.

I had no idea what I was in for when we were heading to SF. I just knew that the pier was cool. That’s pretty much what I would always hear! I came to find that San Francisco was so much more than the pier.

It was an experience itself crossing the Bay Bridge because I’ve never really been above water before like that. I kept thinking to myself “People really get to see this everyday!” When we made it across, I was excited to see that we were surrounded by buildings and city life. There were people walking to work, walking their dogs. It’s always cool to see people up and active. Las Vegas is very different because of how spacious it is. Most people just drive everywhere. The first thing we wanted to do was go to Pier 39. We parked our car and walked down from Pier 1 up. Stepping out of the car felt great. From Vegas to SF it was about 8 hours. Not only did it feel good to stretch, but to feel that ocean breeze. If you know me, you know that I love everything about the ocean. I love the cold wind, I love the seagulls, the sound of the crashing. The ocean was right next to me. Taking a casual stroll down the streets never felt so entertaining. There was music everywhere, food carts, and tents for souvenirs. We definitely had endless opportunities to put our photography skill to use! My camera (and photography skills) weren’t the best back then, so don’t judge, but I was able to gather some images I took back then. I’m actually surprised I found them! This was back in 2014. I took these leaning over one of the piers during the walk to 39. This moment really took me away.

San Fransisco quickly became one of my favorite cities after just a few hours of being in it. When we got to Pier 39, We got some food. I’m pretty sure that this is the first time I tried a Clam Chowder Bowl, which they served in an actual bread bowl. We roamed around a little bit, discovering many shops and got some ice cream afterwards.

We went around Fishermans Wharf, seeing the outside of the wax museum and other cool places. The sun was setting, so we decided to head back out on our adventure.

My favorite part about being in San Francisco, was the ride out of San Fransisco. The Golden Gate Bridge! Crossing the bridge was an incredible experience. It sounds odd that something so simple would attract me so much, but I was so drawn to the trees, the fog, the forest. It was so green! I felt like I were in the sky. I took a few pictures, but I froze up mostly, captivated by the moment. I think these pictures taken were after crossing the bridge.
